Sister and Sister's first Isla trip-Day 2

As a result of going to bed at 10 the night before, I woke up at 5am, with no hope of going back to sleep. So, I sat in our large closet and read a book until my sister started stirring around 7. She woke up and was very angry because she thought it was raining-turned out that the sun just wasn't shining yet. We had coupons for free continental breakfast at the restaurant downstairs that started at 7:30, so we quickly got dressed and headed downstairs to wait, and wait, and wait, until suddenly a little after 8 the waitress came to work. Our breakfast consisted of 3 slices of toast with butter and jelly, coffee and juice. It was actually very good-we ate there all but 1 morning. After breakfast, we headed to north beach. I knew that we would have to pay for our lounge chairs and umbrellas-I didn't realize how much. We ended up at Sunset Grill 150 pesos for our chairs and umbrella-I interpreted the sign there to mean that 150 pesos would then be deducted from our food bill-but it wasn't. Oh well. We enjoyed the beach and water there-not really great service. I'm not sure if it was a communication issue or what the deal was.

After laying on the beach most of the day, we took a quick siesta, grabbed our snorkel gear and headed to the area in front of Avalon to "practice" we saw a few fish under the bridge, nothing too exciting. We also saw the woman wearing the thong that was mentioned in someone else's trip report. After snorkeling, we stopped for more gelato on our way to our hotel. Supper that night was at the Argentinian place? Does that sound right? We had kabobs, and finally met one of the stray dogs. We tried to feed him french fries-he held out for meat. After eating, we just wandered around, had a few beers here and there, listened to some music, people watched, and capped our night off with gelato (again-we ate it 3 times in 24 hours)Ooops- I forgot- this was the night when my sister ran out of cigarettes, she smokes Ultra-lights. We checked pretty much every store, including the 7-11 for her cigarettes, and didn't find them, but she managed to spend about 150 pesos on junk food. We also found the grocery store, which we wandered around in for probably an hour looking at everything. Once again, we headed to bed early (I think we managed to stay up until 11) so we'd be fresh for our golf cart day.
